commune of
Broquiès, located in
the

Enjoy the
peace and rural life, with beautiful scenery
and outdoor activities such as climbing, kayaking, cycling (if
you're fit). Many pretty villages and gastronomic
delights, including local specialties such as
Roquefort cheese.
Cities -
Albi
(65km) and
Castres (100km), both in the Tarn are the nearest large
cities. Rodez is well worth a visit, as is the fantastic
Viaduc
de Millau (Millau Bridge).

What's the weather like?
|
Getting there
|
Great! An
average July / Aug temperature of around 15o /29o
(Low/High) and annual average rainfall range of about 3 cm
(July) to 6 cm (Oct). There's often a strong,
but warm Southerly wind.
The winters are cold, but reliably
short. From March to October you can be outside without winter woolies.

Getting to the region
from the UK is pretty straight forward. The roads are
great and the driving scenery wonderful. We usually fly
Stanstead to Rodez, which is 65km due North of Broquiès.
Other places to fly to include:
|
Toulouse -
165km |
Montpellier - 150km |
|
Carcassone - 170km |
Clermont Ferrand - 270km |
A nice drive is
from Clermont to Millau (A75), which is only 65km away and with
a small detour you can visit the the
Viaduc de Millau.
